Trending Tweed | AW18

Trending Tweed | AW18

Seen on the Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs 18' shows to name a few Tweed is certainly trending in the fashion sphere, and I am fully behind it. Tweed skirts, suits and blazers are some of the items tweed seems to be swarming over. I'm completely in love with this tweed skirt from Zara in the sale! It has a lace inset skirt below it which just amplifies the feminine esque vibe. Unfortunately, its sold out now but I've linked similar below. As well as the best in the high street and designer tweed options. These pictures were taken in London in fashion week and honestly I've worn this outfit quite a lot since coming back it feels classy yet casual.

The Sequin Evening Dress | 3 of the best Evening dresses

The Sequin Evening Dress  | 3 of the Best Evening Dresses

I have never been the girl into the sparkles and glitter vibe and every year when New years rolls around I just feel dissatisfied and bored with the amount that is hanging on the rails & popping up online. But by the time the New year sparkle and optimism has left, so are these dresses. Cast to the back of the wardrobe, I think I have bought a sparkly style dress once in the 20 years of being on this planet. I can safely say this isn't a 'me' dress but yet I really like it. Now I am not going to preach about how I will keep hold of this dress for generations to come as evening dresses we all tend to wear for one event and never again. Or keep a few selected and re-wear in a different year. I have far too many clothes and nowhere to store so I've decided to sell this one on my depop here.

However, there are three styles of evening dresses that I have on my wishlist right now so here are my top picks for February.

I really adore a floral pattern and that always stretches to evening dresses, this bodycon dress is from Karen Millen and is selling out incredibly fast so I so I'd check that one out quickly. If you save the page though they will hopefully restock sizes.

At only £32 this is a really affordable evening dress price, simple and sleek. The pink is just gorgeous and definitely on my list to buy next.  The intricate detailing is very good for Lipsy London who I find usually apply the same patterns to their dresses. The cutwork on this dress really stands out despite the pastel colour and the shape is not too short or too long.

I always go for shorter evening dresses but this lovely one is on my wishlist so I can experiment with some different styles.  I'm not entirely sure I  have anywhere to go in it but that probably wouldn't stop me buying it. The ruffle bottom and round neck remind me of a retro vintage style 50's dress. Nipped in waist and the big skirt is the epitome of class to me.  Which insinuates another purchase. God help my bank account.  At a £105 it is on the more pricey scale than the last two but I wholeheartedly believe you can't scrimp on occasion.

LFW Outfit day 4: Organza Mac coat | How I style the see through trend?

LFW Outfit day 4: Organza Mac coat | How I style the see-through trend?

London fashion week day 4 was incredibly rainy, good old British weather raising its ugly head. So what does Katy do, she wears the most ridiculous material for rain. Organza, It wasn't warm, it wasn't practical and probably an awful idea. But do you know what I felt like an ethereal princess, I'm not entirely sure why an opaque purple organza made me feel so damn good but it did. This might be one of my most stand out pieces ever seen on my blog, its simple and elegant yet a stunner.

The see-through trend has been everywhere recently in the form of plastic extensively. I have to admit I'm not a big fan of the whole plastic coat look, it's been done before again and again and it just tends to look cheap and unflattering.  I think this material is the best alternative, to still keep on trend but achieve a more classy visage

LFW Day 3 Outfit: Block colours

 LFW Day 3 Outfit

Yes! I am finally at fashion week, I missed the first two days but I am finally here and I must say I've seen some wonderful looks strutting around West London. Just from walking to my hotel I had a dreamy sense of lust for coats and dresses I've seen. Colour, colour and colour. I love it and all the colours of the rainbow have surrounded me for the last 13 hours. SO here I bring you my take on day 3!   Block colours. I'm wearing a super comfortable slouchy 80's style cardigan from ASOS which is the cosiest thing and I'm glad I had this item just for warmth. The purple high neck dress from Dark pink and thigh high boots that actually fit wonderfully and stick to my leg (I have been looking for that for what seems like forever) from Zara.

The Valentines Edit

The Valentines Edit

Valentine's day is fast approaching in less than a week actually now and I'm sure the funnel of Red and pink content will fill your feed's. Some, really hate the over-commercialisation of valentines or Christmas, others will just get sick and tired of seeing a blogger prance across a road with a heart shaped bag. I'm completely the same, in fact, although being a blogger myself I 100% see the cliches. I'd like to say I keep well away but that just isn't true. But the fact is I do get tired, but I really do like holiday content. I'm currently following over 300 accounts on Instagram whittling down a handful of friends most are fashion accounts. Do NOT get me started on the Instagram algorithm (come on Instagram what are you doing?) It's like hashtags do not even work anymore and I do not want to see three brand posts on the top of my feed. Mini rant over, I love to see holiday content because although people copy each other and so on. Creativity is out there and even though my post or spin might not be original. I had a fun time shooting it and I love celebrating a holiday despite it being cheesy or in your face.  So here I am flaunting one hell of a red poofy dress, for an evening or occasion look not just for valentines but whenever you want to be a powerful woman in red. (Just maybe not down the office in this one you know)
This dress is from ASOS Premium and is in fact in the sale! I'm not sure if I'm just stupid but I had to look at the model to see how this dress tied as I completely got it wrong the first two attempts. The open back is a new one for me and I like how it isn't a heavy dress it's rather light.

The dress is made out of lightweight tulle and a fine netting above. It reminds me of a 50's prom dress in a way and is certainly extravagant for a price tag now under £30. The dress is actually fast selling out as well, I myself am guilty of buying something I wouldn't usually wear in the ASOS sale.  Honestly, this dress is one, but I even though it's not one I can wear every day, I really like knowing I have a dress like this in my wardrobe.
I talked about what makeup I use for every day over on Instagram the other day, the post is here. Today I have those two products but I am also using the Estee Lauder Pure colour envy lipstick. As well as the Urban Decay Naked palette. The Two brown ones and the grey. (NO I'm no makeup blogger I just know the looks of the colours).
