Spring/ Summer 17' is all about femininity and from the array of trends seen on the SS17 catwalk I've decided to replicate the trend I viewed most at New York Fashion week: The Victorian era. This spin off outfit has been created by the high neck ribbed blouse seen frequently from Rodarte to Marc Jacobs. This neckline is over emphasised by the thinner mesh like material, providing femininity and class to more see through look.
I've decided to layer with a pinafore as we are currently still in the in-between stage of winter, the pinafore gives an element of Victorian era fashion with the mass pleat on the skirt line. Whilst still feeling less reserved and more 21st century. My favourite use of the pleat was in Hervé Léger by Max Azria Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear Fashion Show. This particular dress in the collection provided shape to the bottom of the outfit that simultaneously moved elegantly with the model.
