THE TEA DRESS
|
The tea dress. A staple since the 1940's but
origins relating back to the orient and prime factors taken from the
classic kimono. No longer worn for just afternoon tea this piece can be
worn casually or formally. A much loved piece that has been rekindled
with this summer but isn't set to leave for autumn/ winter 16' either.
This
particular tea dress is from ASOS I really love the flippy pleats
around the shoulders the widened shoulder creates a smaller torso and a
lengthened leg. I'm not sure about the tightened tie right on the top of
the waist on my figure however. This dress is a classic block colour (
not my usual patterned busyness but I quite like the simplicity of the
look. The colour is slightly more brown, I would probably describe it as
a reddy brown rust colour. Perfect for the upcoming autumn months as
well therefore the perfect transitional colour and shape.
