OOTD - Purple blues

OOTD - Purple Blue combo

I'm currently in full swing exam stress season so I might start a string of quick OOTD looks. This outfit was just a combo thrown together for college, first day back but got to look cute you know.. at least I attempt to. Went to college with little makeup and dosed up on caffeine - but somehow I managed to not min my outfit

Good Friday - Easter/spring outfit

Good Friday - Easter/spring outfit

Easter is finally here! The long anticipated four day weekend I've been dreaming about since the last holiday, unfortunately I'm not on spring break for another week but the four days completely make up for it, oh and the sheer amount of chocolate I'm going to divulge in this weekend. Today's outfit is perfect for spring, a floral dress from Iska London. It remind me of a retro 50's dress with the plunge neck line and skater style shape. Experimented with pairing purple with the green of the dress the result was my hair looked ginger but i think it was a nice combo.
Flats were my go to today I had errands to run so I didn't have time for heels but I feel it added a more casual tone to a girly outfit

ILWF- Geometric print dress

Geometric print dress - Inlovewithfashion

Today's outfit has a chic retro feel and quite frankly I'm in love! This beautiful geometric dress is from ILWF ! Inlovewithfashion is British brand with a following from an array of celebrities, their signature feminine style has interchangeable qualities creating an easy girly look from day to night. Seen in the major magazines ILWF is an upcoming brand that really resonates well with my own style.

This particular dress was fun and easy to style, thigh high boots give the look a glamorous feel and a hat can soften the outfit for a more casual appearance. The dress is particularly flattering around the waist and the belt has a delightful quirky buckle which I haven't seen anything alike on the high street at the moment.

The brand has worldwide shipping making their gorgeous clothing accessible for everyone to purchase staple pieces for a fashionable wadrobe.

Fully thrifted - Outfits for less #1

Blouse - Topshop (£3)
Cardigan - Total recall vintage (£10)
Skirt - Resurrection Vintage (£10)
Hat - H&M - (£4)

Fully thrifted - Outfits for less #1

Welcome to the first post of my fully thrifted line of posts, I thought it would be a really fun idea to make a series of posts on fully thrifted outfits I find. Predominately pieces from vintage shops but also from scrimping around to find the latest deals. I'm hoping I will be able to give you some style inspiration and possibly give you some tips on getting the best deal.

Topshop is at the higher end of the high street shopping but never fear! Getting bargains there are incredibly simple to do! Check out the 'rail no one ever advertises' here to find out how I got this blouse for just £3!

The skirt and cardigan were the most expensive items at £10 but fit perfectly and the cardigan is of such good quality I really can't fault it.

I'm loving hats right now (I don't know what I'm saying I always love hats) BUT! Recently I've been more inclined to buy hats more than ever from routing around in a hat bin! Yes a hat bin. If you go to the bottom of the pile of hats and one has a little mark it will usually be discounted. If it isn't just ask when you get to the till what you can have off... it's that simple. This hat was marked down simply because it had a small white mark at the back. This was easily removed with a cloth. Why pay full price when you can buy less than half?

Pretty in pastel - OOTD

Pretty In Pastel - OOTD

I'm basically laughing in everyone of these photos, good times with a great friend! I miss taking pictures on my camera though, as much as Iphone is okay nothing beats film. Attempted to go on an adventure today, resulted in steep hills and muddy shoes! Probably not the most suitable outfit, but I'm sure you expected that from me?

Decided to layer pastels - this dress is so cute! t has two layers making it to look like a skirt top coord combo, it's slightly short for my annoyingly long legs but makes a wonderful dress for pretty much any occasion. The chunky cardigan is a nice alternative to a jacket, the weather isn't perfect so it gives a little practicality to the outfit. Shock horror I actually was a little prepared!

Pastels are lovely for spring they always have been and probably always will be, no surprises here. But I'm attempting to introduce them slowly, those at college aren't ready for full blown colour just yet even if I am.

Dress - Lavish Alice
Cardigan - Asos

Big thank you to my friend Annabel for taking the photos hurriedly in the middle of nowhere

SS16 style heroes - Dorothy Perkins

Style Heroes SS16 - Dorothy Perkins

             Dress/ Blouse/ Boots/ Bag

Spring is finally here! The most anticipated season in the UK and one of my favourites, Dorothy Perkins has created 10 on trend pieces called the 'style heroes' to fast track your spring shopping. With these key essential pieces you will be guaranteed to have a fashionable interchangeable wardrobe for spring 16'. I've teamed up with Dorothy Perkins to show you how I would style two of my favourite style hero pieces.

I particularly love this Floral Pinny Dress that I am styling here, the pinny dress is an incredibly easy piece to style and staple piece to any wardrobe! You can never go wrong with pastels and floral's in spring and the darker colour contrasted against the floral patterns complements the look nicely. My favourite way to style the pinny dress is with  a long sleeved romantic top. This particular pastel pink one  has a delicate frill that keeps the look feeling girly and chic! I also styled my look with knee high boots with a low comfortable heel they're perfect for a casual everyday look. To complete my look I have this beautiful boxy tote bag, it's a small bag ideal for both daily and evening use. I've got my eye on a lot more of the style heroes pieces and can't wait to accumulate my spring wardrobe and you can too!
